STEM Excellence Scholarship

Overview
The STEM Excellence Scholarship invests in students pursuing studies in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. This award recognizes curiosity, creativity, and a desire to solve real problems that matter to the community.
What we look for:
- Academic preparation in math and science courses appropriate to your school
- Evidence of hands on learning like robotics, coding, science fairs, design projects, or internships
- The ability to explain a complex concept in clear, everyday language
Use of funds:
- May be applied to tuition, official fees, lab materials, and required course software
- Small allocations for research poster printing or conference registration may be approved with prior notice
Suggested essay topics:
- A project that failed and what you changed to try again
- An engineer or scientist who influences how you think
- A local challenge that could be improved with data, design, or experimentation
Post award expectations:
- Short update in January on your first term experience
- Optional participation in an alumni Q and A session for local students
